Please help identify this tranny hoping for a b15
Well my mechanic sourced out this tranny. I specifically requested for a b15 lsd. I know he goes though a jdm source. Can you please tell me what tranny this is??? mechanic sent me thses 2 pics. Thanks!!!

Nope, that is not a B15/late P11 transmission.

Could be a 4.44 SR16 tranny though

How could I confirm if its a sr16 tranny? I thought sr16 trannys came cable and not hydro?? Im affraid that its a older p11 tranny which I do not want. Thanks

one thing i can assure is that its not a b15 or a p11 sport tranny we all want. my b15 looks exactly like Javiers above.

I just hope it doesnt have long gears...I guess 99 p11 gears are better than the old long p10 gears. Someone said that p11 lsd trans doesnt come in hydro? Can anyone confirm that?

Chances are this is just a 99 P11 box, 4.17, no bell no whistles... has cooling fins though.

No easy way to confirm if its a Sr16 trans. Chances are its one of the trans that was offered on the early P11. For us here in the states that would be 1999. Did the SR16ve equipped cars use a hydraulic arm? If they didn't then this is not the Sr16 trans.
