Power chamber, wouln't be nice if we could?
A friend bought this for his Honda and I snapped some shots

Too bad there's no place for a MAF

What do you guys think?

I know a 3" pipe attached to a Flow stack would outperform this goodie but it looks dope

ya they call that a carbon fiber "whale penis" intake. Alot of the serious honda guys have it, it costs a shit load of coin tho.

what is the point of the huge middle section and narrow inlet and outlet? doesn't the inlet and outlet "bottleneck" the air flow anyway?

It acts like a second plenum. It's a throttle response thing not a max air flow thing. =/
However it does have a wider inlet than it does outlet. That helps a tiny bit with max air flow.

Is there not something similar on the stock intake piping, which is often referred to as the resonator chamber (The large chamber that comes off the plastic piping which appears to serve no purpose)? It's put there on the stock intake piping for a reason, it's just interesting that things seem to have come around a full circle and people are re-implementing stock features (albiet with a more performance orientated spin on it)

That resonator chamber helps eliminate induction noise to make the engine quieter and does nothing for throttle response or air flow. Totally different animals.

So it is like Viagra?

Helps you get started and get it up but doesn't change the max much.
