reSEARCH...think about it. There is sooo much info about S4's on this and the other forum it's ridiculous. Hell there is even a thread that shows back to back dynos with s3, s4, s5, and c series cams on an na motor. You're not new to the forum, you know about the search button, quit being lazy......no wonder our country has the most overweight population in the world.

No...no need for questions like this when you could have found your answer by searching MUCH faster than waiting on people to respond. I guess maybe I'm just an ass because I believe people should try to help themselves first before they ask for help

What does being lazy have to do with using the search button? This is a public forum.... Quit complaining about something that you DIDNT have to reply back to. If you don't like it, ignore it and walk away instead of trying to make yourself sound like a badass telling someone to use a search button. I've been on this forum for a while now, and I obviously know how to use the search button. Type in "JWT S4" and see what comes up. BINGO.

And as far being lazy, before you go off calling people lazy you should get to know them personally. I work 50-60 hr weeks, deal with a child and do that once a month Army thing. I have "free" time probably 2 hrs out of a whole day to do whatever I want and not have to worry about personal hygiene, laundry, child stuff, girlfriend stuff, bills and all that....

And for the people that helped me out. Thanks for the help, and not being a dick about it.

If I had your two cars, I would def. swap the cams from the turbo car into the N/A car. Does your avenier engine have a stock valvetrain? If so, it should be the same I think. Either way, I would do it. It will make your N/A way more fun than without them. Free fun since you already own the cams.

Someone who knows the avenier can chime in and let me/us know if the valve train is the same in a USDM SR20DE as the Avenier SR20DET?

The head on the Avenier is fully built. Springs/valves/retainers/cams. I was going to do the whole head itself, but the red B13 has all the EGR and all that shit still on it, and I don't want to take my daily driver off the road. I just wanted to add a little pep to the DD... and besides I dont know if the USDM head is any different than the Avenier (like you said)

I have EGR on my B14 too. Everything is pretty damn stock. The only thing different on the inside of my engine is my brian crower stage 2 cams. They are 2 degrees shorter duration but have a little more lift than JWT S4's and I have no problems at all. I take her to 7750 every day. (with some help of me JWT ECU) I know some more people who take it to 8000 on stock valve trains as well.

I will say it again, I would do it to make my DD more enjoyable. (Especially because I just did this past Memorial Day)

Yeah, I have a buddy who can re-flash my ECU on the spot with his laptop/consult cables. I might just throw the cams in, and have him burn some daughter boards (I think) and re-flash it.

I gotta do the steel brake lines Saturday, so I might as well do the cams the same day. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the info!

The re-flashing thing is not that simple. You have to install a daughterboard on your ECU by soldering, etc and then you can re-flash the EEPROM on the daughterboard for tuning. And the cheap ones cannot be flashed by cables but you need to take out the EEPROM and flash it onto a separate chip burner each time. The consult cable flash you may refer to is Nistune, and all in all, almost $550, including software, daughterboard, consult cables, install, etc.

And as for the topic, I have seen stock heads take S5 cams and do redlines everyday, so no prob with S4.
