Will S4's run with stock head?
I was thinking about swapping over the cams from my black SER to the red one, and heard that the S4's will destroy the head if I use a stock valvetrain. Has anyone used S4's on a stock head? When I say stock, I mean.... bone stock nothing done to the head whatsoever. But.... I heard JWT say that the S4's are compatible with ANY sr even with a stock valvetrain. Just wanna hear from someone who has experience.

Haha, they work fine with stock head. Do it. I run cams similar to your S4's but with even more lift and I use a stock valve train.

Stock head with S4's every time here. Done on about 6 different cars as well all stock heads.

I pulled mine to 8k rev limiter no problem on boost and 550whp or so. Motor saw around 11-12k rpms when gears let go as well and never floated a valve into the piston or threw rockers.

Like they said, whoever told you that should be shot.

Do S4's make any power on N/A SRs? Whenever I hear of people with S4's its always on turbo cars, so I wasnt sure if they perform the same on N/A

Wrong wrong wrong. They do NOT work in a stock head. You will have to change the cams. You will have to undo several screws... This is very hard. You will have to have a wrench and sockets. I do not have a wrench so I used a screwdriver and a hammer to change my cams. Then I installed 2 headers on my car to make more power.

How do you expect to do research without asking for opinions? No need for comments like that....

Exactly. No need for common sense before posting. I am very interested to see where this thread goes.
