Same here buddy. The entire mid section of my exhaust is OEM, 18 years old stock. I only changed my muffler back in '96 to my current Borla. Love it but it but it must go b/c I need a 3".

I absolutely have to replace my 17-year old OEM cat back. It is shot. I actually cannot put it off much longer. It does not sound like ass yet, but I bet I could punch a finger through a few spots on my muffler.

One, is that an entirely bolt-on affair? Because that has a very strong appeal to me.

Two. The apparent differences are in the header and the muffler as you are both using Magnaflow and VRS piping for everything else (correct?). The header we can agree would have minimal effect on the exhaust note (assuming there is an exhaust), so is the main sound difference in the Apexi muffler?

Like Viprdudes was yours all bolt-on? It appears so....

I remember an obvious difference from the OEM-cast-iron manifold to the SSAC header. However, I would not have thought a different header would make much difference in the sound. I stand corrected.

A nice, quiet exhaust that I can just order up and Mike (my wrench) can bolt on? That sounds pretty ideal. Does your 6" resonator fit with no issues?

More balls, it is quicker in low and mid-ranges. I have not gotten to a dyno yet to truly see. August 21 is that date.

From my experience 2.25" would be the largest I would recommend for someone with a relatively stock setup. 2.5" for cams all day long.
