Its good to know tranny is doing very well.

Good thing you found the issue. I believe the disk with the rubber doesn't use springs? I thought it was a rubber block instead. I never tore one apart to find out if there were actually springs in there.

Hopefully things work out for you on that new one.

There are actually springs under the rubber - the rubber is more like an absorber for any kind of vibrations which the springs might cause. What I don't know is if it is double spring design or not. Which is not that important imo because I don't think there is a single manufacturer who produces such clutch disks anymore, or at least I am not aware of it.
What I forgot to mention, is that the OEM 'rubber' clutch (besides the Nissan stamp) has the UNISIA sign on it.

jagy - I didn't say anything about the tranny

I am confused, sorry. I have had 2 exedy/act (same) clutch disks. The first one lasted at least 30,000 miles (turbo), the second is still in the car and is getting close to the same amount of mileage. The only problem you are having is a noise?

Do you have any video of the noise?

What is UNISIA?

Also in your other post, don't be too discouraged. The US didn't get the same cars or same names and badge-ing. We need a Rosetta-Stone of transmissions to make sense of the differences before we can understand.
