Is it just me, or is that engine laying horizontal with the intake manifold facing forward like that?

EDIT, nevermind. Looks like a reversed head, which was actually mentioned in the thread. Thats what I get for not reading

whats the point of a reversed head?

It is for the intake I would assume something like ram air.All of the air that builds up at high speeds is forced into the intake. There may be some benefits with resonance tuning as well. It shortens the exhaust length and complexity it it doesn't run under the car or over the transmission.

i think it has a lot to do with CG. getting the engine as low as possible to help weight distro. i would imagine you can sit the engine closer to the center of the car with the exhaust like that to.

hey guys. back from racing. here are the pics i took for ya all

these are the injectors for idle. there are another set underneath for when its running flat out

here you can see the drive shaft running along side the head

the alternator is above the rocker cover and can be switched off for when you need to overtake!

this is the airbox sat right where the radiator should be

and this is the ram air feed and the stubby v shaped radiator (no rad fans)

pump for the water cooled brakes

oil cooler

this is the steering box. its been moved because the engine sits so low and far back

side shot of the crank pulley

ecu sits on a carbon fibre tray in the passenger foot well

driver sits further back and into the center for better center of gravity

has an electric power steering pump creating 100bar

and some shots of the car and driver
