funny question about TPS and throttle closed signal
I've got some funky issues with my TPS.

FSM says it has to be between 0,4 - 0,5 Volts.

How ever, there is a throttle closed signal too.

I can't set the 0,4 - 0,5 Volts demand together with the throttle closed signal.

Throttle closed signal is for me @ 0,22 Volt.

wtf?

You have to turn the TPS so that when the throttle is closed you read between .4-.5V. As the FSM states. "The wide open and closed throttle position switch, which is built into the throttle position sensor unit on A/T model, is not used for engine control."

I've got 2 TPS with about 110k miles on them and they both won't give throttle closed signal <0,44 Volt, rather 0,22 - 0,38 Volt.

When I set the TPS to 0,4 Volt or higher, engine rpm stays high when clutch engaged.

FSM doesn't seem to explain what is wrong here?

wtf?

Its a manual transmission, you should not have a throttle close signal. As stated above it is not used for engine control. You have something else going on.

I do have a throttle closed signal and ignoring it makes the engine detonate easier.

I'm pretty sure my TPS or FSM is bad. or both :P

The FSM is a Factory Service Manual....

Have you tried resetting the idle?

Setting idle was still a bit hard to do on the car it's still jumpy in the 820-860 range according to Datascan and I have seen several Nx2000 in al kind of shapes up to plain bad and they all idle more steady. I don't think it has to do with the TPS but this is besides a minor popping exhaust at idle are for me the most annoying and confusing problems I have with my car.

I don't see how I could adjust the throttle closed signal to align with the 0,44 Volts. All I believe I can do is just tilting the TPS itself a bit and they seem have various throttle closed signal voltages, also the other Nx2000 not any of them had a throttle closed signal between 0,4 - 0,5 Volts.

???

Take it to the dealer, you obviously are not listening.

That is BS.

Sorry that I stepped on your shoes, I just can't believe no one seems to know what is the proper way or pinpoint my problem to the TPS or my non understanding of how to adjust it.
