HCR sr20de build dyno runs.

173.21 HP 136.13 Tq --------169.93 HP 134.86 Tq

Had my car dynod today. I am happy with the results, but I think I can squeeze more out of it. Everyone give me your input.

These runs were with my cam gears set at +2 int, 0 exh.
I have a 2.25" collecter header into a 3" exhaust.
Brian Crower Stage 3 cams s&r
JWT ECU

I have a SSAC with the 2.5" collecter that should be here this week as well.
The reason I have a 3" exhaust is because I obtained it cheap enough to make it worth my while over paying $400+ for a 2.5" piping kit. Still I am wondering whether the 3" helps or detracts as compared to my 2.25" exh.
Does anyone know more about this? My theory is that with the larger exhaust, I might get the same gains as with the smaller, yet not have to retard my exhaust cam as much due to the freer flowing exhaust already helping add to the scavenging effect.

Does anyone have any input on cam gear settings for me? I am thinking of trying +3 int, -1 exhaust.

Good numbers if you ask me. Did you not mess with the gears while at the dyno?

They didn't have time today. I am going to change the gears around this week and redyno next sat. The shop was way behind schedule and got me in an hour after they were supposed to.

It's still pulling like a freight train at 7000 there, revv it up another 1000rpm and it'll probably make another 5-6hp.

it revs to 8K just for some reason the dynojet program cut off the graph at 7K rpm.

It's still pulling like a freight train at 8k, rev it another 1000rpm and probably make another 8-10hp.

seems like good numbers

I would put the cam gears at +2 on the exhaust side and -2 on the intake. I think that is the best place for power. Try it and let me know.

How's the AFR with the JWT?

Sorry to ask but did you play with basics such as the TPS setting, cleaning Air Filter, putting new spark plugs?

I've seen it work somewhat different for some setups... TPS 0.50V and some other times 0.45V works better and gives you some more ponnies/torque!

Depending on your JWT ECU program, timing should be dead set on either 15 or 25 degrees.

You may have done all this, but just trying to help, once you got these at best setting then moving cam gears is next...

My setup liked best +5 -5 with JWT S5 + Flat Pistons on SSAC 2.5 + 2.5 Exhaust, maybe you can do +3 -3?

that is COMPLETELY oppisite from what everyone has said..............this wouldnt work.

rob.....something simple i am really intrested is seeing if it works at all is keying the spark plugs. I.E turning the plug so the open face of the electrod is faceing the intake valve read a bit about it.........free and easy. just curious if it accually does anything.

but damn solid number homey! nearly dead on to what you said you were hopeing for when we talked.
