I could see s4 hitting 155+, but the S3 needs more supporting mods and some dyno time for sure. Get the cam gears played with a bit and you may get up to 145-150.

Perhaps you can post up graphs when done?

I agree, 160HP to the wheels is at the very top of what I'd expect an SR20DE with S3's is capable of. Additional bolt-on's would be necessary to get there. Below is the dyno graph of my SE-R when it hit a high of 154.10 HP and 136.38 TQ with S3 cams and the following bolt-on's:

  • JWT ECU with S3 cam program with AIV delete
  • HotShot 3rd Generation header
  • HotShot Cold Air Intake
  • Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel
  • JWT Clutch
  • B15 PP
  • Unorthadox Racing underdrive pullies (crank and water pump)
  • TopSpeed / Courtesy Nissan Stainless cat-back
  • Koyo Aluminum Radiator

I upgraded my header to a S&S / Ebay header (HS 5th gen copy) sometime after this dyno and I could definately notice the improvement. How much more HP it added, I can't say. A 3 to 5 HP improvement over my older 3rd Gen HS seems plausible. That's very close to kissing 160HP.

That torque curve is nice...

I am doing very similar mods, including an outlaw thermoblock spacer, but what is the B15 pp??

I may not do the flywheel and clutch... Unless I buy a friends b15 LSD transmission...

I have thought about lightened pistons, ported/polished intake manifold and lightened crank, but the only one of those that would be sorta worthwhile for me is the intake..

Where was this in Guatemala City? Probably the sea level height is killing your numbers.

I like power curve. Should be nice with sr16ve tranny.

Thanks.

I've had Outlaw thermoblock spacers for several years now. Just to lazy to install them.

B15 PP = B15 pressure plate.

hypothitcal situation:

power mods:

Outlaw Engineering Thermoblock Spacer
Timing to 19*
all 4 UR pulleys
2.5" SSAC header
2.5" mandrel bent exhaust
WRX STi muffler
ghetto CAI mod
K&N Drop in Air Filter
JWT S3s
JWT ECU Flash for S3s
JWT motor mounts

I would expect that set up to get about 155 whp on a good day from what I've read.
If I went with JWT S4's and a JWT ECU tuned for S4's, what would I exect to get? 165 whp? and how would the torque curve look? I'm tired of searching!!
