Thread: Red Top SR20de with 20ve Head?

Can the SR20ve head bolt up to a red top SR20de (comes in the European Primera) without changing to 20ve pistons?

I THINK the Red Top 20de comes with 10:1 CR (even though I heard its' 10.5:1). Can someone please verify?

Also what are the mods needed for the conversion to be be a success.

cant work, the 10 to 1 pistons are flat and have no valve reliefs. The second your cans switch over you are done.

the head works fine with a 9.5:1 de, those do not have valve reliefs either and the dish on the piston is very shallow. can you please explain why with such suttle differences in the pistons cause such drastic differences
