Yo reedom, don't listen to thor lol. The sr20 de head isn't as well designed as the k20 and 2zz heads in terms of detonation resistance. Its better to be safe than sorry especially when it will cost a ton of cash to rebuild your damaged masterpiece. And also its not worth the risk for 5 more wtq. But hey, you'll do what you please when its said and done.

Blood, Brian seh he can perform this level of tunning using Nistune, however I prefer to be safe than sorry. so I will run 11:1 CR pistons. I will run a thin MLS gasket to bump the CR a lil bit. Thor no disrespect or nuttin mi frend is just that me fraid dahdi. our gas is really horrible and not even consistent.

yeah but remember the GTIR uses solid lifter hence I would not be able to use the C3 cams. I wud then need to get custom grinds. 300 degree blo0d? remember seh this must be daily driven capable. The C3 are 284 degrees with high lift and we are wondering about their daily driving capabilities. I dont wana over do it. I kno a yute that did the GTIR head with some huge custom cams from Sherwood and his car, when idleing, had a very tough brake pedal and no power steering not to metion A/C the car cud barely idle. dont want that.

no problem, I am all for that.

I want 90-92mm blo0d suh the block needs to be sleeved. up grading everything in hopes that nothing will happen to the block.

Sorry but ill have to agree w thor, I think 90oct will be enouigh for 11.5 cr. I say this because of the big ass cams your going to be running. No I don't think it would work w a stock cam motor though...

^I don't think he has decided on the cam he wants to run yet. Cory did Mike K. make 200WHP or so all motor with a 2.0 or 2.2L DE back in the day?

I thought he was planning on atleast a c2. But I'm pretty sure mikes motor was a 2.0 with c6ms and a burns header. But now that I think about it it may have been a big bore motor, I remeber something of one of his motors using na z32 pistons....

Miko has a big bore de back in the day to I believe he was running c2s
