Ignition timing settings with JWT S3 Cams
2 situations here:

1. After messing with retarding and advancing the timing, I found better throttle response when the distributor's timing is indeed "advanced". However, while going through G20.net, I found a post claiming that lower timing (specifically 13*) is the best for JWT S3s. Does anyone want to support this claim of lower timing with larger cams = more power?

2. After removing my air injection valve (AIV) assembly, I plugged up the remaining rubber hose that led to the intake manifold with a plastic screw. This made me lose noticeable throttle response so I just unplugged the hose again. Now the vacuum hose is free to breathe and suck in air, but it has no filter whatsoever. Old posts show me that plugging up the hose was fine. I just want to know if it's safe to leave the vacuum hose like this since it's not part of the intake, or does this air lead into the engine as well?

go with 20 timing )) its not true because you're compression is get lower with s3's ( about 1bar ) so you can easily go with more advance JWT has recommend this because they want to be safe ( when my car overheat in the summer it goes in knock timing map so the timing goes back to 10-13 degree and the car literally dies )

yeah every engine respond in a different way on timing i believe that if the compression is lower you can advance more, i personally did the timing with consult and rotate the distributor until i see detonation
