correct. its close to stock...but not quite. very reliable, and detonation isnt a concern at that CR.

i had everything to go turbo.........but i realized my last se-r had a gen 1 header, greddy 2inch exhaust, and old skool intake.........loved the PISS out of that car...and i like clean engine bays.

i figured i could make my new se-r the same as my old one........but 20% better i have never had a desire for balls out speed, just enough to make me giggle.

Did you ever find a head? I have 2 sitting here. 1 has been mildly ported by Rodney to go in a motor with s3's or 4's. The other is a little more aggressive. It was going on a motor I was building to run c2's and sr16 pistons. I sorta abandoned that project when I bought the ve.

yea i haven't updated in awhile. heres my story.

i have gone threw 3 blocks. block one had a boat load of piston slap. block #2 had a melted piston and jacked up piston walls. block #3 has ring grooves and was completely missing a rod bearing on rod #2 however i believe i can save this one because the cylinders are still in spec and i can just up the grade size. then ill just replace the crank and rods because the ones in the engine were worn badly. engine #2 came complete with a head.......a clean head......SUPER clean head
