Anyone with an ASP header on a JDM DE?
Here's the thing, since the ASP headers came to market I told about the amazing dyno charts to a local friend who owns a B13 with a fresh JDM, now he have some money ready to spend and he's considering the ASP header.

He already got an intake and 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, considering he will be getting S3 or S4 cams would an ASP worth the price?

I know SSAC or eBay special is the best for the buck but would like to get some input here.

I'd say go for it if he can afford it. Support those who take the time to make great long lasting products for us. i have one and can't wait to get it on my ve. you always get what you you pay for. the asp feels so much more durable and "fuller" (its the only word i can think of right now) than any ssac header that i have owned or handled. i can't see the asp cracking anywhere, but i know the ssac does. right now my friend has a leak at the flex pipe weld.

I am no way defending the ssac header because I could careless about them, but I have had no issues with cracking with ssac header I owned. Though I have heard about that issue in the past.

I am definitely not saying it's a bad header, i think it is a very good header for the $, it can't be beat unless they start giving them away. but i'm only suggesting if he has the $ or if $ is not an issue, go for the ASP.

Isn't there a dyno chart on here where a SSAC made 2.3 hp over the ASP??

Tunned ASP VS Tunned SSAC = no hp difference at the peak 4-6whp gains power under the curve...

Asp Tuned Vs. Fuji Tuned===== Asp 15 Hp Above The Rest.

From 181 Hp To 196.9 Go Figure...
