sr20ve (fwd) head on sr20de (awd) block
Hello, everybody!

I have an interesting question to you!

Long time ago Nissan produced some nice car - Nissan Primera P10 AWD... Wone of them have crash in own places, but his engine was save...

This is it:

for comparison here ordinary sr20de from P10 GT (fwd):

The engine was good and have some special mods...

I was surprised, that fastening of block SR20DE AWD with the head of SR20DE FWD is identical

So.... what can I do? maybe make some special engine with sr20de awd block and sr20ve (p12) head? give me some recomendation, please...

What car is this going into? The p11(sr20ve) head should just bolt on, but I heard the t4 block might be a little different then a fwd sr20. Also, if your putting the VVL head on a non-VVL motor you need to tap it for a new oil line + wire up the solenoids.

It going to Primera P10... I heard that p12 head is much better than p11... & piston-rods in AWD block is shorter, crankshaft is other form, gear-box is other... it maybe hard to influence such engine... what it to do? & what gear-box I need to instal this engine? sorry, I have too much questions, but they accumulated from last year...

The p12 head is different then the p11(ve) head, so im not sure what you need to do to use that head. The arent too many p12 motors around here, because the p12 was not sold in the US + there very expensive.

Is your p10 awd or fwd? Also, you might want to ask this question on g20.net. There are a few p10 T4 owners on there that might be able to help.

Why do you want to bolt on VE head? Buy just VE, it will be cheaper with less work. P12 head wont be cheap, P11 VE head is fine.

Btw. i have P10 Primera AWD, it has 78E block, like Bluebird SR20DET.

According to my sources on g20.net: You can use the t4 block in a FWD p10, but you need to modify the axle brackets. I guess its similar to putting a gtir motor in a p10. Oil pan, and etc are different, because of the huge awd transmission.

On the other hand, just buy a p12 motor if there available to you and you got ther money.

I want to bolt on VE head becouse I think that this engine will be much better then just VE... bore&stroke is another I think

How can I modify the axle brackets? Block is aluminium in fact... then what and how it must be welding?

Also I wanted to ask about the block of t4 (78e)... where can I find
S.D.S. of this engine, maybe even manual?... where can I find stock dyno that (sr20de) engine on primera? and where can I find some dyno-sheets with mods in this engine?

Try signing up for the new zealand primera owners club, they have a lot of experience with the T4 model.

Bore and stroke is the same. You are wasting your time and money...
