Yea, pedron i was keeping tabs on yours because the VE apparently likes shorter length. So im going to run mine behind the drivers side light at the longest and see how it goes.

wai for now put its a straight shot down to the under fender well that has only one 90* bend. real simple if you dont have a battery in the stock position you can make one with the straight shot to the fender without the extra bend. I have extra material from when i made mine, if you want me to make you one let me know.

Especially for the VE. The VE likes its air fast, Larger diameter WAI intake's seem to be better for the VE.

to me i would think keeping the piping in a smaller diameter all the way down to the bumper would actually keep the velocity up better than if it were larger than smaller. its like trying to cram larger volume of air in a smaller diameter pipe, i would think it would definitly have a effect n the velocity flow of the overall intake of the engine

Well in my case the MAFS has a smaller internal diameter than the intake pipe behind it so the MAFS is the real bottle neck. It did not make sense to me to go 3" from the filter to the MAFS then transition it back up to 3" to the throttle body (which is less than 3"). For me it was about ease of construction also. The inlet adapter of my MAFS was 3" and so was the air filter so I went with a 3" front pipe. The outlet of the MAFS was 2.5" so that's what I used going back to the throttle body. I guess you VE guys are most likely not using the stock MAFS so my setup was kind of pointless to post.
