C6M With stock Piston
Hello,
Is it possible to run the C6M cam with the stock 9.5:1 pistons?

Is there enough clearance between the piston and the valve?

Thanks.

c6m are designed for use with solid lifters IIRC.

You would be better off going with c2 or c3s.

...C6M?

I can't answer the clearance question, but, if you don't mind I'd like ask what you have planned, setup details, etc.

Just being nosy .

That all depends on wether 13.6mm is too much lift, and will hit the piston.

in my expierence you better have some type of headwork done becuaase just becuase ou have 13.6mmof lift doesnt mean that you are going to get anymore flow than say 12.5 or 11.5 you will need more cfm flow to gain from such lift.

You'll need 11:1 C/R or more to really take advantage of those cams otherwise you'll be better installing S4s...

CM6 cams make good top end power but becasue they are so large the bottom end power will be very bad no drivability.

You either need 12 to 1 compression

or a larger motor to get more bottom end torque

So how about SR16 pistons and C6M, if they dont hit they might complement each other nicely

Also, about those solid lifters: can you use the ones from Gti-R or is a Tomei kit required? Is there a JWT kit for that?

to actually take full advantage i owuld do 11-:12:1 at least, adjustable cam gears to dial in some more power... along with headwork no doubt

SR16VE pistons will net you 11.85:1 C/R on a DE motor... and adjustable cam gears are a must if you plan to use C6M.... algo a big ass header and 3" exhaust...
