Thread: EGR Removal on B13 GA16DE

I'm on my spare ga16de i removed my egr and bpt and all hoses included. Yes I will use a Custom EGR block off plate sold by a member on Gnet.

There was one nipple that went to the throttle body, that will be capped off right?

Now there are 2 vaccuum nipples next to a black rectangular plug. Those 2 will be capped off? But leave the connection plugged in.

Now what do I do with the Charcoal Cansiter that is on my car? Do I remove it as well? I noticed that there are two hoses leading to the back and one hose to the bpt or intake manidolf I believe.

From reading seems like SR's have the smiliar set-up. If anyone has pics of their egr/bpt/charcoal cansiters removed from their engine bay that would be great. I've done some research but many confusing answers. I've looked at the fsm but no help their either.

Can someone guide me through this I would much appreciate it :-)

Charcoal canister is also hooked up to the gas tank to absorb excess pressure gas IIRC. You can either leave it hooked up to that and the intake, or remove it completely. You can just pull the EGR hose off it otherwise I think??
