Can you help me figure if this is the tranny claims to be?
I've already spent 2 work hours searching to figure out if a 98 200sx came with a LSD tranny? I learned that 95-97 has lsd.

There is a regular seller claiming that he has an extra 5sd lsd tranny that was suppose to go on his 98 lsd equiped 200sx. He bought the car from a private dealer and thought the tranny was going out and ended up being the axles. Hence, the dealer purchased a tranny for the car and sold the car with a spare tranny.

This is suppose to replace my b13 tranny in my 91 p10. Can you tell if this has a non mechanical speedo by these pics? or if its what the seller claims what it is? I just dont want it to be a P10T tranny with the longer gears..

Thanks

Looks to be an LSD transmission for sure.

Doesn't look like it has a speed sensor installed at all.

B13 cause there's 2 holes instead of 4 where the clutch cable bracket bolts onto and they're no crank sensor in the front.

speedo sensor holes are all the same. just transfer yours over.

x2 98-99 SER and SEL does not come with LSD.

Can someone explain to me the crank sensor bit? Or show a picture of it or where it is on the tranny?

It's the little gray sensor on the front of the bellhousing. Look where the transmission meets the engine. It's near the front motor mount bracket.

Great thanks. Got it.

So what does it do? Is it just a plug or does it pick up the rotation of the teeth on the flywheel or something?

Exactly. It's something they added in the OBDII ecus. That's why B14s and up get a CEL running a B13 flywheel. I don't think it really does anything important though. Plenty of people have run B13 flywheels in B14s and just ignored the light, lol.
