Thread: Feeler: Ported/Polished Throttle Bodies

This is a very good mod for turbo guys using the stock TB and Intake Manifold. I'm not sure what it would do for a N/A DE or VE. I think it would be ideal to have the manifold bored out to match it.

i would be down for one to dyno test too, but i was wondering if you bore out the thermo spacer, isn't the gaskets the same size too?

The gaskets that come with the thermo spacers are just paper gaskets. You should be able to cut those on your own, but yes they would need to be cut to match the enlarged TB and spacer.

I could send out a few cores to you guys if you need some to bore or want me to dyno one. I think i have 2 or 3 highport spares.

I can call dyno dan(friend who owns the shop with the superflow dyno) and see when he can squeeze me in if you want to try it out on my g20. We may have to bump a few ferraris off the schedule LOL. Or possibly the nx by the end of next week. Send me a pm about this sometime soon.

It would be very interesting to see if it shows a gain on my high milage bolt on de. I am leaving for 18+ hrs to go with a friend to pick up an evo 5 engine set and a cf trunk, so i will be busy for a bit. But shoot me a pm with a phne # and such and i can contact you this weekend.

the real gains will be seen if the IM is port match, but they look like good quality

I would suggest selling the cores to people who dont have them to turn in. I charge $50 if you dont have a core. There seem to be a few people that need cores.

hmmm then i could probably charge 50 for each of them and then they can turn them in and get there 50 back from you. nobody looses and i get my throttle body from the money i get hehe
