My car ran 8.8 in the 1/8th mile with a stock motor and bolt-ons. That'd be really close to 13's, but I can't say for sure since I've never taken it to a 1/4 mile.

This is capable of 13.9 at 1/4 mile too. I did 14.3 with JDM DE, S4, JWT pop and tuned Calum ECU. On stock JDM tubular mani, exhaust, flywheel, block, etc.

^What tires and size were you running? What was your 60ft? I think this guy should get BC2's or S4's, get fully bolted and tune the ECU. That's what I'm going to do. Get a wideband as well for tuning.

205/50 R15 Markgum semislick. You can end at 3rd gear. Dont know my 60ft. But its very good daily setup.

Yeah old wore out 20x8x14's. Really small tire, hooked like hell though. I got 1.8 60 fts with them.

What about getting a set of BC stage 2 ( dont need valve springs), or stage 3's. Actually after typing that, get valvesprings. Valve float makes baby jesus cry... and does no good for humanity or your engine.

thats my advice.

bullsh!T THEY DONT! You obviouisly have asked enough or had much first hand experience as it is just plain stupid to run bc2's without valvespings. They will work for a while, but it is na ticking time bimb

However if I set my cams to +4int/-4exh it lopes like a race car and bucks/hesitates at part throttle from 1500-3000rpm. I traded my midrange torque for a better idle/daily driving. If there was a way to fit the RWD DE's VTC to the FWD DE that would kick so much ass. You could get the C3's and set the intake cam to retard for better idle and part throttle, then have the VTC advance it back to keep midrange torque at WOT!

no you couldn't. C3's would have your vtc gear last about 20mins, and they aint cheap to replace. If you want to retain vtc and make the most power, greedy esycams are the go.

bc2, c2, c3 are all useless on a vtc sr. Poncams even chew the gears, i would not recommend poncams with it, but if your game you can see how long your vtc lasts before the death rattle comes

Hks stage 1's 256 in or ezy's are the only cams for vtc really

I actually know a guy who installed these with stock valve train and runs at the track all day no problems. He revs out at 7500 rpms but I don't think bc2's make power up that high any how. It would always better to upgrade the valve train of course.
