Specially if you want a balls out N/A and especially if they haven't driven a car with c series or similar cams...

What cams you using Aaro?

Did he have slicks because this set up sounds like a 13.5 set up.

At that point my motor was stock. Just bolt-ons.

not me particularly but....when i switched from S3's to the S5 cams it turned my mild little 4 banger into a fire breathing monster. i completely enjoyed the "8 stroking" rough idle. it never died at idle but there was NO mistaking that biotch had cams. it pulled like a freight train to redline. it was completely streetable and fun doing it!
my only regret was having NOT gone with the C3's instead. but, when a oem valve spring broke and sent parts crashing together i knew there was a VE in my future. just think, if the de hadn't suffered catastrophic damage i'd still be stuck @ ~170whp
one more thing. BIG cams make your aftermarket exhaust much LOUDER. on a DE you're "always loud". on the VE, you're only loud when you want to be
i still say...for the $$ go VE, and have fun doing it. only look back when you wanna reflect on the "old days".

Vumnoo's N/A sr20de build up (on the cheap) PICS - Pulsar Group of Australia
The above is a link to my build thread up on the pulsar forums.
I drive my car about half an hour each way in my daily commute. I find it great, it is only ever slightly more doughy down low, but you'd still be ahead power wise over a crappy little 1.6 or the like. I love sitting at the lights and listening to my idle. Which might I add is still at the stock adjustment of 800rpm (ish).

Feel free to shoot me a PM.

Goood goood.... I like that your driving a b14, What was your best time at the track? I am using a sports muffler right now but I am thinking about a 3" electronic cut out for when I want to have some fun, I hear that they leak though so I am kind of weighing my options.

Thanks for the link, I'm going to sign up for that sight and go through some articles on there as well. One thing I want to ask you on your dyno graph it said you made 196 torque is that correct or do we convert it over as well?

I'm not honestly sure. Also American dynos tend to read a little higher than the ones here in Australia from my understanding. I'm sure there's others who can fill in a little more detail.
Oh things I would have done different from my build that I'm in the process of correcting now. SSAC headers, and a bigger cold air intake with a larger AFM .
