cams?
ok so i'm bassically gonna be trying to get my b13 b-door to be somewhere in the 13's n/a on slicks
with just a cone filter in the se-r i can keep up neck and neck with my buddies bmw which is running 15.0.....

when i get my tax return i'll be getting some cams

so what cams sould i run
would the brian crower street/strip (264) cams be enough or should i go with somthing bigger and maybe get springs and retainers

bassically if i can hit 13.99 with
header
full exhaust
clutch/flywheel
intake
maybe some thermoblock spacers
slicks
cams
calum ecu
it would be good enough for me

i think you could do it with some cams some 264s i think could get you close, i would also get cam gears and dial them in

I think you should go with some S4's.

They cost more, but you shouldn't be worried about valve float, either.

BC S/S cams don't REQUIRE S/R kit, however if you plan on taking that motor up past 7K on a regular basis, you'll want the S/R kit to prevent valve float.

bc stage 3's with springs and retainers 8000rpm limit

they are better then the s4's im thinking.

i have s4's ran them n/a wich they were great and run them turbo know.

i will be switting the bc3's to my turbo car once the n/a car goes n/a.

go with the bc stage 3's.

What about JWT C2's with springs and retainers?

Or will BC stg 3's do just as good of a job?

Im torn between the 2.....

put it this way the jwt c2's are a big cam a expensive cam, require springs and retainers wich if you get them from jwt they are expensive, you could run another manufacturer springs and retainers

brian crower cams stage 3's are plenty big are cheap when compared to jwt, hks, tomei cams etc, they make there own springs and are cheap. for prolly 450 shipped you could get a bc stage 3 set up with a s&r kit, you be the judge.

I say JWT S4's

It will be very hard to get a bolt on DE into the 13's even on slicks. Some weight reduction is a must.

^ rob, i know youve ran s4's, i currently run s4's on the turbo nx, **** all of us have ran s4's.

but looking at the numbers the bc stage 3's are bigger in everyway, they were made to rev to 8k and the cams and s&r kit are 50 bucks more then a used set of s4's.

from talking to charles, he said they bested s4's in every dyno run, by a good margin and depending on the set up bumped the power band higher into the rpm range.

not may people are running them, they are running the stage 2's wich are bewteen a jwt s3 and s4. you can try and track down sr20turbofreak on the other site, he might still have the dyno sheets. but anythign that man says you have you can trust.
