Thread: Video: Bouncing idle

I'm having that same issue now except the problem randomly comes and goes. The car idles fine and will drive fine especially in boost. Once I baby the car the idle will rev up and down like in your video. I'm hoping it's just a dirty IACV and not the fried wiring like what you had.

Mine was a weeklong endeavor finding out what was up. Yours doesn't sound like the same symptoms - I'd check your tps and clean out your maf first, then clean your iacv, and if you have a b13 car, then clean out your bpt and egr system.

I figured out my issue. It was an issue with the throttle opener on the throttle body. It was basically getting stuck. I adjusted the little screw on the opener by backing it out all the way and the idle instantly dropped.

The car feels great and idles around 1000 RPM with the a/c on. I also noticed my throttle response is back again!
