Dyno help
Last fall i had the car on the dyno for 2 pulls just to see where i was at. The whole curve is choppy and they guy said it was most likely ignition related. I am ordering a new exhaust and want to go back to check it after that but i am wondering what i can bring with me or replace before hand.

The car runs fine, good idle (wavers a little but not very often), MPG's are ok and consistantly around 32, & no CEL's.

Setup:
95 SR20DE stock ECU
EGR bypassed
Highport cams
Timing at 19*
SSAC header
G Spec WP and Crank pulleys
Injen CAI
Nismo FPR
Outlaw Thermoblock spacers
NO AC or PS
Nismo Thermostat
New knock sensor, WP, & fuel filter
New cap, rotor, wires, & NGK BKR6E plugs gapped at .035.
Stock exhaust on this pull in 4th.

I know this is not a high HP setup but it is my car and i would like it to run the best as feasibly possible. Should i try new plugs? Try hotter plugs? Change timing? What can i check or replace? I just did the Wayne Cox HP trick and i am not sure if it was off at all and i didnt notice anything afterwords. I dont mine checking stuff out but i do not want to have to sit on the dyno all day either. So if i can do a few things before the dyno it would be good. If i try a few things and nothing helps then i guess that is just the way it is.

That its normal man no need to worry ... How its aligment?and the balance on the wheels?

The alignment is great but the balance could be off a little. They are about down to 1/2 tread left so it could be slightly off. I could have them checked just to make sure.

I think your making some decent power for your mods....and the dyno is normal looking to me. They have to use the smoothing and it will eliminate all that choppiness. If you look at chart and look in the corner you will see that the smoothing is on 0 if you change that to 5 it will be perfectly smooth.

Smoothing just shows less detail on the graph. Smoothing is purely for looks. From what I've seen, the better your tune, the smoother the graph looks in the first place.
I don't think the slight choppiness on your dyno graph is anything to be alarmed about though, if your car runs fine, then it is good. That doesn't look much different from any other dynos I've seen

Good to know. My timing may not be at 19* since i have the 1st gen G-spec pulley so i am not sure what my notches are. I need to pull it off and put the stock one on and put it at 0, then put the G-spec back on and adjust from there. I am thinking it is closer to 17* but that wont add much at all. I am going to get the exhaust this weekend and let the ECU adjust a little then put it back on the dyno. I am hoping for 140 but that might be a little optimistic.

Thanks for the input and until i get a tunable ECU there wont be much i can do.
