hi port & low port
how would i know if my motor is hi port or low port..........i dont have no info about my motor i bought it from a shop........have no idea if is primira or blue bird........all i know is sr20de

well the highport engine means you see the runners on the intake manifold, a lowport means you see the intake plenum on top so that you can hardly see the runners.
Then the early lowports had sliding rockers and spraybar tubes under the valve cover, later ones have rolling rockers and no spraybar, the early ones of those came with a two piece intake plenum, the later ones it is smaller and one piece.

ok thank you guys ..........i have the high port motor thank you..............so thats an advantage over the lowport?

Its almost a chevy ford thing, supposedly the lowport's head flows better but has a less aggressive cam. Lots of people debate which is better, plus all the differences in cranks and compression can throw things in a loop.

You really should do your research before you buy a motor for future reference.
