Pistons
When contemplating alternative pistons in an all-motor build, what should be taken into consideration aside from the bore?

Do different pistons have different size wrist pins for example? Are the location of the wrist pin in the piston generally the same etc?

There are many measurements to take into consideration, go to the wiseco, JE etc websites and download their catalogues, you will see how many different measurements that need to be considered. Easier than trying to describe them all here, their custom piston pages have a list of details they would ask of you for a special, those are all important.

Once you have read those catalogues you will have a better idea of what to ask for.

Need to narrow it down a bit bro. There's a ton of things to consider:
Piston weight, bore, compression height (pin ctr to crown), gudgeon pin diam, piston to rod clearance, piston to valve clearance, dish/dome cc. These attributes can all vary from piston to piston esp. between different engines.

I have done it before and while you can modify and get away with stuff in the short term, in the long term its safer/more reliable to stick to pistons designed for your specific application.
