roller rocker springs?
i just thought about it. i remember when snickers had the titanium springs and retainers GB awhile back, and stated that it would fit VE and roller rocker heads. now i just recalled that the h22 springs are starting to pop up in some people's VE builds.

would this mean that VE springs and retainers would work in a roller rocker head? possibly give us roller rocker's a set that doesnt need to rev to the sky, and give us the clearance to rev to 8k, which is more than enough.

possibility for some people upgrading to springs with N1 cams to make some cash and hit us roller rocker guys with a 'hi-rev' spring option once again?

Over here we use the "normal" BC kit .. for the JDM RR 0 probs.

the VE is consider a RR head and springs on the VE are good to 8k with N1's so I'd figure it will be an upgrade for RR's, this is my assumption NOT a fact, maybe somebody with more knowledge will share more input.

Well the big problem with this is the fact that the RR motor uses a different ratio for lift than the VE. I don't know a whole lot about the RR motor since I haven't torn mine apart yet, but it seems like most roller-follower cams have pretty aggressive ramp rates. You could use the VE springs, just don't expect them necessarily to work to 8k just because they will do so on a VE.

VE cams are not very aggressive on ramp angles.

The roller rocker motor has a spring installed height of 37.0mm and the VE is 36.5mm. The VE Springs do fit in the RR motor, but you need the dual spring retainers. If you get VE springs and retainers they will fit. I'm not sure If I would install the factory VE springs though, just get aftermarket BC's or supertechs.

what are dual spring retainers? sorry i have no idea what that means. i have no need to rev to the sky, i just feel it would be nice to rev as high as other sr20s say 7500.
