z speed shifter problem

so i recently bought this car b13 se-r...then the gearbox got loose as hell today took and off and see this...there are no screws or anything holding it in and im wondering how it stayed in there so well before...cuz no i dont know what to do

doesn't a nut go on the other side of the stud? maybe it got loose from vibration
