The Edge has a better package than the Royal. I guess we will just have to keep our eyes peeled. See which one is most available with the best additive pack.

We did a few tests here in australia on sheer film strenght, Royal purple was the best out of all the leding brands.

Ill see if i can drag up the link - its very interesting read.

Castrl edge was in the middle of the pack for oil film strngth with valvoline being number 2.

Ok, so RP has better shear stability? With Edge being so new there isn't a whole lot of UOA's done, but they look extremely promising. I bought some M1 15w50 today at Wal mart for $15/5 quart jug. It is on clearance. I bought two. Not the best oil, but for $15 I couldn't turn it down. It will be decent for some beatings.

Well we change our oil because it gets dirty, generally not because it breaks down. Most oils these days are pretty good at resiting thinning and degredation.

I wil chase this promised link today. i need sleeop.
