BC cams?
When they first were on the scene, it seemed everyone got on them and now I don't even see half the threads about them.

I was debating getting Stage 2 BC cams or JWT S4's but now it seems that the S4's are better for a less worked on car. (aka I don't have springs and retainers and doubt I will get them and S4's work best on stock springs and retainers and stock cam gears, etc...)

I have a s-afc II and I can tune it to whatever goes into the engine, but as far as anymore management, I don't have anything else. Just the s-afc II that i tune with a wideband on the dyno.

The thing about BC vs. S4's is that S4's are the best stock motor drop in and go cam. The BC's are not on a perfect centerline so they have to be tuned with cam gears to get more power out of them.

I was asking why the main reason people don't use the BC cams, there is no more raving and ranting about them anymore like there used to be. If

TheRealNighthog said "The thing about BC vs. S4's is that S4's are the best stock motor drop in and go cam. The BC's are not on a perfect centerline so they have to be tuned with cam gears to get more power out of them."

He was able to tell me the difference when these cams were actually put into use, not just numbers on paper or products with high hope and success like the S4's are.

The purpose is to discuss?

i don't want to buy anything extra because i am on a limited budget so for my situation s4's win over BC cams even tho the s4's are twice the price, cam gears would make it close to the s4's price anyway.
