well I would spend the time on the dyno tuning in for extra gains and the fact that the BCs ar cheaper does grab my attention. i will be using adjustable cam gears as well.

Is it better to keep the dissplacement stock at 2.0 for a high reving DE engine vs stroking to 2.3 with a BC 2.3 stroker kit?

Was that a question? Has anyone tried to build a NA stroker at all?

11.8:1 is what I've seen on here, they were marginally lighter than my 10:1's that I took out. Im hoping for another 15whp with a Charles header, 3" system and a bigger filter.

Look into the spark plug hole carefully.
I got rod knock in my old 125PS engine, I decided to save the head as a spare, I found it had 9.5:1 dished pistons. It was definitely made in Sunderland in the UK.

charles just a quick question.

as you know the cam choices are far superior for the de then the ve.

youve said that a ported low port head can flow just as well as a ve head.

alot of people believe what holds back the the ve is the cam choices.

so with that being said :

ported low port head biggest cams avaliable c3's (?) and s&r's
2.1 bottom 12:5:1 pistons
your 4:1 header

ve head n1 cams s&r's
2.1 bottom 12:5:1 pistons
your 4:1 header

wich motor makes more peak whp ??

stratton.

Good on you! I have a DE P11 with the Tomei kit in it and until recently was going to take it out and put it in a VE but am really reconsidering that now as I already have a VE build. The 22DE is lovely to drive, no need to rev the guts out of it. With a better exhaust & perhaps some quads she should really sing I think.

Plus the car is a 1995 & would've represented a cutting edge kind of P11 motor when she was made so it would be kind of a pity to change that... old school
