Building a large cam SR20De
Me and my brother are thinking of building a large cam SR20De this summer, this will eventualy go into a P10 chassis. Already got the engine, it's a 125hp '95 P10 engine with a 89J head, which I suspect is a 10:1 compression engine (a good start?).

I already got a stock SR20VE header, way better then the stock De unit

We are still unsure of wich cams to put in (along with some stronger valve springs of course). Also, if we should keep the stock internals or stroke it. From what I understand, a stroker kit is no good for a high-revving engine?

Any ideas?

Just throwing out some ideas, I know theres a lot of info out there, but I need some input on cams for a stroker setup etc. Dunno if theres any serious stroked natural aspirated SR's around. Rumor has that there is no shop in Norway that can sleeve a block properly , from what I hear, the Honda guys over here buys their sleeved engines from USA.

-JWT S5 or C3 w/ springs
-16VE or Z32 NA pistons
-SR20VE header
-333 injectors
-2.2 stroker kit?

I want to know what kind of camshafts that walk hand-in-hand with a undersquare 2.2 engine. Also what length would be the most efficient on the exhaust secondaries.

depends what head setup you are running. If you have a good low port head with a good valve job, good bowl work, a set of C3 cams, a 4-1 header with 26.5" length stepped headers and cam gears, you can get to about 190whp no problem.

heres what you'll need for 200whp. sr20ve, n1 cams, springs and retainers, turbofreak 4-1 header,370cc inj, MSD goodies and a good tune. check with cory. his b13 has 200whp and iirc he has the mods that i just listed and he didnt need to stroke the motor.
