Any Advantages without egr?
what the thread title says. im thinking about ditching it, but i've been hearing posititive results and negative results. my state doesnt do a visual but they just plug and play.

this is on a usdm 00 roller rocker btw.

The only pro to removing the EGR is making the engine bay look cleaner.

With or without the EGR the car will make the same HP under full throttle.

The EGR only comes into play under normal cruising condition.

Keep it. You will not loose anything or gain anything but the earth will love you.

Well it just dirties up the intake manifold, and raises the temperature of the incoming air. I think it may lower some MPG's but like Miko said HP should be the same.

My DET didn't come with it and I'm not going to go out of my way to get it

Yeah thats the one. Lets say if you remove the egr...it will throw off a c.e.l right? and calum can retune your ecu not to have a egr right?

If you remove the EGR id does not have to through a CEL light.

All these Seleniods do not take any readings all they do is open and close. So all you have to do is keep the selenoid plugged in so that the ECU gets a resistance reading.
