JWT S4 cams will be fine on stock springs. I ran them in my DE for almost 2 years. You might notice the low end loss, but with a good tune, i am sure you can make up for it. I would go full bolt-ons though. Pulleys could be something to consider too if you want to maximize what you have.

S4 cams are going to be your best drop in cam you can get. Other than that, you will need S/R kit.

I think what Mrslappy meant was a good set of headers, not a simple shelf bolt on set.

If you mill the head, your valve to piston clearance will get pretty tight with a good set of cams.

i've decided to go with:

Brian Crowner 264/264 12.06mm lift cams
vision cam gears
Brian Crowner valve springs
rocker arm stopper kit
+ full tune

got it at a fair price, hope to get 120rwkw

go with s4 cams with stock valve springs, with the bc cams you will need alot of dyno time and cam gear adjustment to get the gains you are looking for. lose the rocker arm stopper kit also. spend the extra money on dyno tuning or save for a good header

Dude is located in adeliade and pretty much get your hands on a stock ecu, send it off to him, it comes back chipped for about $100ish (AUD).

Then get in contact with dr. drift Dr Drift : Tuning - Modifications - Performance Parts Local tuner, good guy, in the western suburbs. I think you'll get away with the tuning portion of your build quite cheaper than $1400 if you take this route.

I agree. The rocker arm stoppers can actually destroy your valvetrain more with them. With rocker arm stoppers when the valves float or the lifter collapses at higher rpm or a miss shift, the rocker slides off of the valve and can get lodged between the retainer and cylinder head. The rocker will break, the retainer will usually break, the valve(s) will bend, and so on. Without rocker stoppers, the rocker can be dislodged and will break but usually the rest of the valvetrain will remain in tact.

Not only that, these are to help with regards to floating and mis-shifts. If you are getting upgraded valve springs, you shouldn't be hitting valve float at all.
