Thread: What compression?

What compression would a 10:1 sr20 motor with sr16 pistons in it make? I know the 10:1 compression comes from flat top pistons, but just thought I would throw that out there.

Anybody? I was thinking 11.5:1, but am not positive an just basically guessing.
The motor is also using a cosmetic HG, but I don't think its thicker then stock.

11.8:1 - 12.0:1 aprox.

^Yeah. I wouldn't run nothing but 93 on that. I remember reading about this in another thread not to long ago. I bet me DE would fly it I did this to it.

Throw some sr16's in there, change the HG, and head studs, and you"ll be rocking!

Im planing to do this with my 10:1 JDM.
But SR16 pistons on a DE block will fit if Later i want to Swap for a SR20VE head???

You can use SR16 pistons on a Hybrid DE, maybe you need notch 0.5 more on the pistons.

Well I was told it was 11:1 not 11.8:1 or 12:1.

Just thought I would throw that out there. Still needs 93 regardless...

SR16VE pistons in a DE are about 11.8 to 1

Will work perfect on 93 octane.
