Maxed Out Injectors
im curious how many of you guys maxed out your injectors, im currently at 167whp, and added a few things. i just realized that stock DE injectors are only good for 175whp

or am i worried about nothing until i get some dyno time

What did you add?
Maybe the mods only added area under the curve, or shifted the powerband, maybe didn't add much peak power?
Hard to tell until you put it on the dyno.
You could get an ECU reader device so you know what your duty cycle is -
techtom, nisdatascan, etc.

Yesterday I saw 83% peak injector duty cycle, 4.58 volts on maf,
at -12 F ambient temp. Stock 259cc injectors. Greddy SP 2" exhaust.
It dyno'd 162whp @ 87 deg F with full 3" exhaust, 83.4% idc:

I'm running 259cc injectors and I have 196whp on the set up in my sig.

I see this is the all motor section and I'm turbo but would that make a difference?

No. Shouldn't make a difference (in theory).

well then there you go. Proof that 259's can hit 196whp. Actually depending on correction factor I hit 200whp. Someone else did the tune so I don't know what psi the fuel pressure is at. To be quite honest I've been too scared to hook up a guage because it's gotta be gosh awfully high.

Car has 211k miles so reliability is not a question.

Rob your car was a special case, when it was built. You didn't want to get injectors @ the time. Your fuel pressure was @ 61lbs when it tuned. Jay said you were going to upgrade your injectors shortly after the build. It has been many years and the car still seems to run great.....and surprised the HELL out of me.

so that's just slightly over 4bar correct? I thought for sure I was 5 or so. Eighther way the car runs great with the tune. Zero drivability problems. I do have so wierd cold weather related problems but seriously at my mileage I can not complain.

If the engine ever goes I'm probably going to throw another lowport DE in and leave the 259's.

Maybe I should go back and look through my logs and see what duty cycle I got at 150 WHP from the stock injectors, stock fuel pressure, stock fuel pump.
