snickers, so there is no better spring? both the H22 are the same price, which is better? or which was used in the VE?

Kurt would you still have the RR hydraulic lifters?

Im still using the RR lifters, but I did get a spare RR head over a year ago...don't know what condition the lifters will be in now but I can check?

Get a bucket of oil, put them in it, and compress them in the bucket of oil to bleed the air out of them ones laying around.

You will soon be able to identify if their dead or not by how easily they squish so to speak.

The RR lifters are meant to be THE lifter to go for if your doing some descent DE rpm's.

I still would like a little clarification on the springs issue before I bite the bullet.

I can get both H22 springs (supertech) for the same price. Which would be better the 80 or 93 lb seat pressure ones? Both get to the same final pressure at maximum lift, the lower seat pressure one has a higher spring rate.

I do not know the cost of the VE specific ones from supertech, if someone knows cost or has a link let me know.

If someone has the specs of the BC springs for the VE I can compare it to the supertech ones and make a decision myself, I can't find the specs on the BC website.

Snickers, do I need the VE retainer as well or would the JDM RR retainer accept the VE/H22 springs. I don't want to use titanium retainers if I can avoid it. I would prefer to buy lighter valves with the same money. I can get Chrome Moly retainers for the H22 but have no idea if it will work with the VE or RR retainers or if the stem diameter is compatible

What about a stock set of SR20VE springs would that be of any benifit? The reason I ask is that I have a VE also that I plan on using aftermarket springs with N1's, if i can use the stock VE springs in the RR as an upgrade that would be perfect, since I would just have to buy one set of springs.
