nope. technically it should be carb legal, as it doesnt interfere with the cat or egr at all unless you dont hook them up. but as in having a sticker, or engraving on it saying it is, none that i can think of.

I thought HS headers were carb legal. It is BS because the EGR and AIV provisions are there on even the crappiest eBay header.

The only thing is the header inhibits cat light off during cold starts. The cast iron piece with all the heat shields is better at keeping the exhaust gas heat in.

if your worried about the visual inspection during smog you can always do what ApacheXMD did on the other forum and weld the heat shield to the new header.

Look for SSAC header with 2.5 inch collector. It has all the bungs and makes most power.

In California you have to have aftermarket parts approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The aftermarket parts manufacturer has to prove that their part does not increase emissions. Then CARB issues an exemption sticker to be sold with the product and placed under your hood. They do a visual inspection when you do your annual smog check. They will require every non-oem part to have its own sticker with a dedicated number. That's the only way to be strictly legal on a street car that is registered in California.
