EVAP Selenoid goes to?
I have a highport engine where there was a lowport in my 2001 sentra SE. The evap canister goes to a selenoid attached to the intake manifold on the lowport (blue harness) - my question is, since I dont have an extra hole where I can attach it (put in a highport out of a 92 into it), can I 't' off a hose somewhere without negative effects? There's 3 options.
1, the iacv...not going to happen, too important.
2, the brake booster.
3, the power steering pump pressure regulator.

The object of the evap selenoid is to release vapor pressure from the gastank back into the intake (after the throttle body). I assume it operates on the suction of the intake, so that being said, where can I T off something?

The highport engine should have a larger port for the Charcoal canister that that engine was designed for ....It should be on the intake manifold under the throttle body ....That would be the best place for it !

That port is used for my fandangled iacv setup, and doesnt have constant suction on it to the best of my knowlege...you're talking about the tube that's under, and to the right which is used by the air regulator and the 92's iacv yes? I have the 2001 automatic lowport iacv, which used to mount to the throttle body, so I had to use the nipples for that instead. I can, however, T off the power steering suction without too much difficulty I wouldn't think, so I will probably end up doing that instead.

that's what wnwright suggested anyways.

"The evaporative leak detection diagnostic strategy is based on applying a vacuum to the EVAP system and monitoring the vacuum decay rate. The Vehicle Control Module (VCM) monitors the vacuum level via the fuel tank pressure sensor input. At an appropriate time, the EVAP purge solenoid and the EVAP vent solenoid turn ON, allowing the engine vacuum to draw a small vacuum on the entire evaporative emission system. If a sufficient vacuum level cannot be achieved, a large leak or an EVAP system malfunction is indicated. "

Looks like I'll be tapping the freaking intake to put a nipple on, because if I dont it looks like it will assign a code!

No , not the air regulator , the one I am talking about is smaller, about 1/4 hose size , was used for the Charcoal ( Carbon ) canister, it is manifold vacuum ( constant ) and is what the EVAP solenoid replaced ... Basically just behind the throttle body on the back of the intake manifold ...

The port at 2:00 is pointing to from the circle ( larger hose going to the Carbon canister ...)

oh there! yes I see, I used that for the power steering pressure regulator from the lowport pump - so If I 't' off that, it should do the trick yes? the only reason the power steering pump opens that passage is if it's under significant load and pressure, to bring rpms up and not stall the engine, so that should do the trick methinks!

sucks being the first to put a highport obd1 engine into a b15 harness/ecu lowport obd2 car without modifying any electrical stuff, but its' getting done

Yea, I remember way back in like '00 I did a Highport SR20DET in a B14 ...Took some work to get all the emissions on and no CEL ....

Sounds like you have the basics covered ...!
