Resonator length?
Would a 28" resonator fit somewhere easily in an exhaust on a nx2000 or would it be too long? If I remove the cat, then would it fit or is that not necessary, because it would fit with the cat in place?

If you don't run a cat it will. Otherwise, 24" right off the cat is all you can get.

^Yes.

^PM forum member Robchaos. Maganflow FTW!

^This is the one I got. I picked this up for $80 to the door for sound control. The 2.5" diameter of the opening still gives me the air flow I need for my 2.5" full exhaust system. The 6" round barrell is the sound dimmer. I'm just sick of the loud rasp.

You can get it in 3". Hit Rob up bro. May do this same setup on my turbo project and not run a cat. It shouldn't rob to many HP's I hope. I've heard quite a few straight throw turbo setups that sound like diesels until they hit around 3 or 4K.

Bump. Putting together a list of items for my exhaust system, and the above resonator is not listed on Magnaflow's website anymore. Best place to get one still Robchaos?

Edit: Found them on ebay. Is that the 4" round resonator with the 2.5" in/out?

^That is the 6" barrell with the 2.5" in/out. It knocks around under the chassis because it is so big. I ended up going with a different RESO.

Think I'll try the 4" round one then. Thanks for the reply.

I have Magnaflow 6" Barrell that is 3ft long under my car. It doesnt rattle around or hit anything at all. Doesnt even scrape. My Downpipe scrape but not my Exhuast. Its all about your hangers and how good your exhuast man is. Even when I brought my weld guy the 3ft Magnaflow he told me it wouldnt fit. Well it fits and doesnt move around at all. Its also super quiet.

^^^Notice how at WOT it still sounds about the same as Idle. At cruising you can barely hear it. This video was with the windows down and everything.
