So you're trying to put high impedance (side feed) injectors from a '91 NX2000 into your '01 Sentra SE engine? Do you have a side feed fuel rail?

What ECU are you using? The '01 Sentra SE ECU or the '91 NX2000 ECU?

whole engine from nx2000 into 01 sentra. 01 sentra se ecu. yes, I have the harness to swap the injector harness over, but need to know what to put inline to prevent frying the injectors

all SR20DE, DET motors are high impedance.

Only the SR20DET GTIR motor is Low Impedence.

there it is! sweet, so it's just a harness change and i'm good to go?

I see what you're trying to do now.

It's not going to happen.

Well, okay, it could work, but not how you're planning on doing it. Where did you get the idea you could fix this with some resistors?

Most people try to run low impedance injectors on an ECU meant for high impedance. They don't do it the other way around like you're trying to do. And when they do it, they use high capacity power resistors that have the ability to dissipate the heat. Radio chack parts bin resistors aren't going to handle it.

What you want is to make your NX2000 injectors act like low impedance injectors. To do that you need resistors wired in parallel, not in series like most people do. This means you won't be hooking them up like Dre said. You need to connect them from the positive wire to the negative wire, sort of by-passing the injector. A little math could get you the value of resistance you need, but I'm not aware of anyone ever doing this, so I'm not going to even recommend it really.

Edit: Nevermind. The '01 Sentra SE uses high impedance injectors too as noted by Dre above. I should have known. =/

Yah, basically. As long as the injectors are similar in flow rate. Which I'm sure they are.

Yah I edited that post to clarify. You gave me false info. =P

I am 100% sure I answered the question already.

If I did not explain to me what motor you got and what car your putting it into.

sorry to bring up an old thread
(this highport into a b15 lowport previous engine is not going well!)
why does the fsm say 10-14ohms resistance for the injectors on a highport, and 13.5-17.5 resistance on the lowport (b15) injectors? Should I then put in a 3.5ohm resistor to bring it to the right zone for the highport injectors? Is that why my car is idling to brutally?
