injector impedance
I'm replacing the engine on my car, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the impedance is on a 91 nx2000 highport injector? Also if you have done this already and know what size of resistor to solder in and which of the two wires to do it on that would be a big help. I'm on the verge of getting this motor working!
I know that the stock 01' lowport rr sr20 is 14.6, but i'm unsure of what it is on the highport nx.

hey andreas, can you help me with the other post I have on here? thanks for the help so far.

uh...this doesn't tell me what the impedance is and what I need for a resistor?

Resistor goes on the ground.

All Injs on the Nissan SR20DEs share the same positive and use the ground as the trigger.

It clearly states that all Nissan Side feed injs are High Imperdance. So since they are, I guess you are getting low impedence injs.

6.8 ohms 10 watt can be found at Radio shack works great with MSD injs.

after looking at it, would a 6.8ohm 10 watt resistor be the one I need to change the wires over from the lowport top injector (low impedance) to the highport side injector (high impedance)? It appears on the link andreas fired me that the 6.8 would be used on the low impedance. Is the ecu for the lowport already rigged for that? What should I use then to balance it out to make the injectors on my highport motor work on the 01' sentra? (which used to have a udsm RR lowport in it)?

Wait a minute. The injectors on a 91 NX2000 are low impedance? And they are top feed?

Uhh...

no, it's a side feed, but I'm putting it into a 01' sentra se which had top feed inj's, so the ecu will be putting out the voltage compatable with those. I'm not sure what resistor then is needed to change the ground wire to make it compatable with the side feed inj's located on the 91 nx highport motor.

Okay, and the '01 Sentra SE has low (or medium) impedance injectors?

low.
