Bumping this thread for the same reason that I bumped this thread.

I stumbled across these old threads and thought I would post them up, for the many members that have probably not seen them!

That is such a wonderful motor!

I am currently wondering if anyone knows anyone who could have spareparts or components of those motors?

Here is mine...

As you can see it is not exactly the same as when it sat in the primera!

Things I would love to find

Magnesium upper oilpan for Dry sump
btcc ITB's ( I have customised and old GTIR GRA wrc itb setup)

I have been speaking with Janspeed but they don't have anything than exhaust systems these days for modern cars :/

Just the fact you have one is awesome. I'm sure everything will have to be custom

Thanks you very much. Well yeah it's an amazing head, the ports are so wide a standard visa card fits in them o.o

Yeah, it's the best looking SR I know of, those valvecovers are so sexy.
The valvecover weights less than a 0.5 litres of Coca Cola, it's made out of magnesium

Previous owner did not have the drysump oilpan nor the dry sump system as the pump was broken. Custom SR20VE oilpickup and oilpump is also from the sr20VE
I've inserted Darton sleeves and 1/2 custom head studs as a part of things to make it work with a turbo. (there was no btcc pistons etc inside, and I was going to build a turbo anyway)

I'd love to remake this a N/A next winter if I can get my hands on the genuine ITB's.

Fitting it in my Zenki

That is crazy that these things were putting out over 320bhp, and it's a DE. There's so much development in that motor. I can't imagine how far the SR community would be if someone really looked into one of these motors to see some of the secrets years ago.
