Dry sump = 0 frictional loss from the crank hitting the oil at ridiculous speeds.

Also allows a "shorter engine" and the motor can be located lower in the chasis for better weight distribution.

Kieth O'dor
that motor was probably his.. he died in 95 when an audi hit the car on the right side.. if the car would have been LHD he would have lived.Janspeed was his family team but he had sponsors like Castrol, old spice...
pretty sure that motor belonged to his era maybe not him but maybe it was his. this was one of his rides.

Here are some pics of my mate's touring car motor in his N14:

Specs are 88mm omega pistons, 13:1 cr, 316deg 13mm lift cams, 54c solid lifter head, dry sump, slide intake, ram induction, Satcar clutch setup, etc etc.

notice where the injectors sit :-)

The car:

The motor taken from one of these SATCARs:

Another local satcar belonging to john craig: (the headers go over the tranny and out the rear.

The same guy who built some of these engines rebuilt my VE :-)
