N/A SetUp Plans
ok, so at the moment i feel im making pretty good power, and i want to try bumping it up. im planning on adding 370s an adjustable FPR and a fidanza, along with an upgradded clutch, and i plan on running this on a JWT ECU @4 Bars of fuel pressure

my question is will this work with such big injectors at 4 Bars, i plan on turbo in the future so the injectors will be needed eventually

What are your mods now? If you do not have a turbo now JWT does not make a 4bar N/A program. (I went through the same thing, i got flamed pretty hard for asking why 4bar is not good for N/A, never got a straight answer) I suggest getting a tunable ECU and run with what you got for now. If you do turbo then you can add injectors and 4 bar.

ok cool, iv asked before and never got a straight answer(or maybe i did and dont remember). i figured same for N/A as turbo, as far as 4bar it was for better fuel atomization(sp?). as far as mods go WAI/PopCharger S4s Pullies(2Piece) Header and greddy exhaust, so after i get my clutch ill be dropping in the fidanza

what kind of program should i be looking for from JWT,and what does a POP program from JWT consist of???ill prob call tomorrow just posting up...

4 bar is bad - althought not that much higher than stock.

Reason being is by the time you reach 7000 and above RPM the injectors are workign so quick that their just about group firing. Group firing at 56-58psi is just fattening up your top end A/F mixtures and probably wasting fuel. Not to mention you have to start scaling yoru dwell and pulse timing to compensate, its just a stupid and wasteful way to tune.

Then your adding 370cc injectors - stock are 270cc right? 370cc injectors should be good for about 200whp.

I am of the opposite opinion of fuel atomisation, 4bar of PSI does throw the fuel out at a higher speed, but because the fuel is throwing out at a higher speed yoru pushing more through the injector for the time its open. Better way to atomise is to increase the amount of air flowing around and past the throw pattern of the injector.

keep the std 259cc injectors until you've gone turbo. Then put the 370's in.

The 259's limit at about 220whp. And with your mods you are VERY far from that. So adding the 370's now will mean money wasted on a custom tune or a tunable ECU and Tuning time and $$$$, for absolutely no benefit at all.

Running a higher fuel pressure on the N/A for the mods you got will see maybe 1whp max if even that, so you gotta ask yourself if it's worth the money?

You can increase your FPR to about 3.7bar or so without the need for a retune etc. So no need for any ECU changes if you keep the stock injectors. That will be the best compromise for you for now.

There is nothing wrong about running 4 bar NA.

The majority of cars today run 3.5 and 4 bar.

It gives better fuel atomazation so better fuel economy and better performance.

If you were going to try this get a Calum tunable ECU and run stock 259 cc injs.

well im getting a good deal on a JWT ECU(with a POP program) so that will be my means of tuning, ill keep the stock injectors and go from there....any estimates of power ill be making with an ECU and im adding a fidanza to my current WHP that is at 167....

I run my car NA on 370s with the Calum RT, but at 3-bar. With the 4-bar the injector pulse gets really small to the point where I felt 3-bar fuel pressure gave me better resolution. Runs fine, put down 138whp and I get over 30mpg.
