Thread: gtir leaking

hey guys i brought a gtir 2 months ago.. no problem except a little exhast leak from the cat.. it was ok untill today the exhaust noise just got loader and then i notice that i started to lose boost pressure as well...
i was just wondering what the problem was...
is it because of the leak from the cat.. i notice some black smoke as well..

found out one problem... i tink my 4th sparkplug causing the loader noise... so open up all the sparks and notice they were all loose and have some motor oil on them... so i clean and dry all the sparks and reinstall them in.. car sounded good no more load noise.. utill i took it for a little drive and i can see smoke when im taking off and then into second gear.... then the car started to back fire because of the leak from the cat... then i notice that the car was loud agian.... took it home and it was the sparks again.... especially the 4th spark that has alot of motor oil on it......
so my help need are:
is this normal to have motor oil on the sparks?
is it because of the cat leaking causing backfire?

HELP GUYS

well got my exhaust fixed... now worry bout my spark plugs.....
in the 3rd and 4rd plugs when i pull the leads out there is always oil on them... is it because the seals that are gone?

the 1st and 2nd one are dry and fine... help

it should be the seals and/or the valve cover gasket

bad news guys my 4th cylinder has no compression...
so time for a rebuild...
any one know of some aftermarket piston i can get or order in? help
