if you use a plenum, and connect a MAF, JWT can tune for this.

E-manage ultimate can convert from MAF to MAP.. it has a handy feature where you can output a MAF signal to the ECU to fool it into thinking there is stil a maf but the readings are calculated then tuned from a MAP sensor..

also those TB's are just high port TB's with an adapter plate.. ask how much fro an adapter plate and you would be able to use GTi-R bodes with it..

still requires a map conversion and a piggyback...

like i said before, for those wanting itbs but are scared of tuning, use a plenum and a MAF and JWT can tune.

hell you could make the plenum so that the maf mounted to the plenum and then put a POP on the end of the maf.

and those are not GTi-R itbs in the above pics.

where did i say they were gti-r throttle bodies?

i said those TB's are designed for a high port motor.. there not designed for the VE head just look at the bolt pattern on them, there is just a VE to high port adapter bolted on (the thick black thing).. so if you really want a cheap set of tb's you could get one of his adapters and use a set of gti-R bodies..

e-manage ultimate can replace the maf.. it comes with a map sensor and has the function to output a MAF signal to the ECU so you can tune with a MAP but the ECU still thinks there is a MAF..

no need for stand alone no need for anything else. basically all you need is an e-manage ultimate a sett of GTi-R bodies and this adaptor plate he makes and you could make a cheap VE with TB's weather it makes more power thana plenum iss debatable..

hi this is very interesting topic, i've a set of GTIR ITB's i'm still not sure how to make it Stand alone or stock ECU with Airbox, but this sounds very interesting from where to get more info or how'to's on that ? so with MAP i can go with velocity stacks ? ? ? without airbox ?

Guys Martin does produce a airbox that bolts down with the trumpets. On our RHD models there are some clearance issues with the brake booster but for you guys with the LHD cars it should be a no brainer.

The box comes in carbon or fibreglass. Guess you can still run the MAF then if you like.

For this money extrudabody are better solution, and better apearence. i finaly decide to run my GTIR itb's with stand alone MAF is a stupid thing, i'm gona use airbox with panel filter on the top of it
