Thread: Refilling R134 A/C on an S13

Hey guys, I havent been here in a while, but my A/C is acting up, and its a bitch since we're getting into hot summer.

I know that the system at least works, but sometimes its cold, sometimes its not. So I went ahead and got a R134 can, but I'm looking at my schematic and I cant find the valve to jack into.

Does anybody know the proper way to do this recharge for my car? I'm riding on the '89 240SX XE coupe, KA24E. Everything pretty much stock.

I found this thread, but its not that descriptive, and he has a turbo so he has a custom valve anyway.

Since your car is a 89 it has R12, you need to get a conversion kit to install the R134. See if you can find a place that still has R12.
